DALLAS - The Polk County Interagency Narcotics Team is making its presence felt in the West Valley communities of Grand Ronde and Willamina, which straddle the county line. In the last two weeks, it has served two search warrants, one in each town, and made three arrests.
In Grand Ronde, POINT agents entered a residence at 25242 Coyote Court and seized prescription medications that allegedly were being sold illegally, in addition to a small amount of methamphetamine. In Willamina, they seized more than an ounce of meth, along with drug paraphernalia, a .22-caliber handgun and about $3,700 in cash, at 157 E. Main St., No. 2.
As a result of the two raids, the following arrests were made:
n Frank Leroy Copeland, 44, 29795 Edson Drive, Grand Ronde, one count of possession of a controlled substance (meth). He was sentenced to 10 days in jail and served his time in the Polk County Jail in Dallas.
n Lila Ruth Musso, 39, 25242 Coyote Court, Grand Ronde, five counts of possession of a controlled substance (meth, Oxazepam, Oxycodone and Vicodin) and one count each of delivery of a controlled substance (Oxycodone) and manufacture of a controlled substance (Oxycodone). She was lodged in the Polk County Jail on $125,000 bail.
n Mary Rickard, 47, 157 E. Main St., No. 2, Willamina, five counts each of unlawful delivery of a controlled substance (meth) and unlawful possession of a controlled substance (meth), and one count of felon in possession of a firearm. She was lodged in the Polk County Jail on $150,000 bail.
The drug team also made an unrelated West Valley arrest. It charged Michael Hedrick, 45, 46331 LaChance Road, Grand Ronde, with four counts of delivery of a controlled substance (marijuana) and two counts of possession of a controlled substance (marijuana). He was lodged in the Polk County Jail on $100,000 bail.
In addition, POINT just wrapped up a two-month marijuana and cocaine investigation leading to five arrests elsewhere in the county, all made Tuesday.
Dubbed Operation White Out, it targeted mid-level dealers who allegedly supplied a majority of cocaine in Dallas and Keizer, according to Sheriff's Sgt. Mike Holsapple, who leads the team.
