When the Linfield Wildcats stepped onto Maxwell Field against Portland State on Sept. 22, 1956, little did anybody know that the team was about to become a part of sports history.

Ad Rutschman's Linfield Wildcats opened the 1976 season with a last-minute victory over Southern Oregon.

The Streak 1986 to 1996
Ad Rutschman's Wildcats stormed through the 1986 regular season going undefeated for their third-straight conference title.

The Streak 1997 to 2005
Things weren't quite as suspenseful in coach Jay Locey's second season at the helm, but after an opening victory against Southern Oregon, the Wildcats lost three of their next four games to stand at 2-3.
