Oregon Public Notices

Your online
source for public notices in Oregon
The News-Register
has teamed up with daily and weekly newspapers across the state to offer a
searchable public notice database. The database may be searched by newspaper,
county or date as well as by keyword. In addition, an interested party may
sign up for automatic notification by e-mail every time a notice comes up
meeting specified criteria. There is no charge for the service, which is offered
through the Oregon Newspaper Publishers Association, based in Portland. Some
of the largest newspapers in the state are participating in the program, along
with some of the smallest. The service should prove particularly useful for
parties interested in doing business with public agencies, whether they suppy
goods and equipment or professional services. Architects, engineers, contractors
and consultants should benefit, along with sales outlets and manufacturing
concerns. Many of the notices detail government spending proposals, development
and annexation proposals, rate increase proposals or other types of actions
likely to affect local livibility. So members of the general public may find
it interesting to peruse these records, or to establish criteria that would
trigger an e-mail alert.
